Prof. Carlos Felipe Grangeiro Loureiro is a Civil Engineer from the Federal University of Ceará (1990), M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Transport Engineering from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (1990-1994). Full Professor at the Department of Transport Engineering at the Federal University of Ceará (DET/UFC) and at the Postgraduate Program in Transport Engineering (PETRAN/UFC), teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the areas of Analysis and Planning of Transport Systems, Transport Demand Modeling, Statistical Inference and Research Methodology. As a researcher, he is leader of the Research Group on Transport, Traffic and Environment (GTTEMA/UFC) with a Research Productivity Scholarship from CNPq since 1996. As a technical consultant, he has coordinated and participated in the preparation of several studies and projects in partnership with public and private entities in the Transport sector in Ceará, highlighting: ARCE, DETRAN-CE, DER-CE, METROFOR, SCSP-PMF, AMC and ETUFOR. His main areas of interest in research, development and consultancy are: Planning and Operation of Transport Systems, Integrated Transport Modeling and Land Use.
